Anyone ever go through the replacement process for a damaged card with them? Got 2 boxes of Jumbo Score on launch day and one of my team8 jersey cards was dinged so I sent it back immediately. Card has been with them for a week already with no update so I asked for one and was told 8-10 weeks. Is that normal? I've gotten cards back from UD in under 2 weeks and that was for an older product. Score literally just came out. Either you have a replacement for me or you don't. Unless I'm missing something here I feel like this is too long of a wait.

I've definitely gotten cards back sooner. Just curious what takes that long?

Oh well, I'll receive the card after a few more sets come out and it's value drops in half. No big deal

Last time I sent a card in the replacement it took about 2 months before they updated my account with a replacement offer. Once I accepted it I had the card 2 days later.

Hmmm...that is strange. I had a serial numbered card that was replaced in two weeks. Maybe they are swamped with just getting back from the National and Rookie Photo Shoots.

Good luck!

Shawn

Thanks. I've cooled off a bit. I got at least 10, probably closer to 20 PMs asking for the card (rookie team8 with Yakupov, Galchenyuk and more). I would have been able to trade it for a huge lot of Score inserts but life isn't perfect. I hope I at least I got a little something extra with it. Upper Deck would always throw in a BAP auto or something when I sent in damaged cards. Nothing big but at least it makes up for the shipping I paid to return their damaged card.

Charitably, it's abysmal. While Chris and Karvin are diligent about keeping contact, I can't say the same for the rest of the customer service department. I left emails and voice mails both generally and for specific people (though to be fair, one was out of the office) over a two week period - I have yet to get ONE acknowledgement of message receipt, let alone an actual reply.

I may grouse about UD, but anytime I've left so much as an inquisitive email I've had a reply within 12 hours from someone in CS asking for details.

I don't mention ITG here. It's really not fair to compare the large organizations with a small, tightly run ship like ITG. Brian's seldom let an email linger longer than a couple hours. Though that reminds me, I have to gently tweak Ken's nose about something next expo.

Sent a follow up message today as it's been 8 weeks since it has arrived. I was told the card still isn't ready yet and offered to give me a Beckett BV replacement. Should I go for it or not? The card was selling for $50 when I pulled it but now struggles to get 20 on ebay. Not sure what it's BV is so do anyone have an idea of what I'm going to get?

That's nothing compared to Topps' CS. I spent a total of 5hrs on hold trying to get through to them over a 2 day period.

I can tell you BV is $50

in 10-11 I sent an Ovy auto that was damaged. took almost 6 months to reproduce the same card. but they did sent me 3 free certified packs.
still waiting on some 10-11 redemption!!!

I sent a Luongo Cramer's Choice card that had the top ripped off from the pack. It took about a month from the time I contacted them to getting the card back from Panini. They weren't the best at replying to emails but the turn around was satisfactory for me.

You also need to remember that if they don't have any stock of your Score 8 card on hand they're going to have to remake the card and that means printing and acquiring more jersey swatches. It's not going to be quick

Think I'm gonna go the replacement route. How good are they with listening? If I tell them current Devils and absolutely NO Parise or Kovalchuk what are the odds that they listen? Also they throw in a few packs to apologize for my frustration and lost time right?

From Panini, I always received the same card with the same serial number. never a replacement offer. that was in 2010 and 2011. Maybe they changed the process since.

I opened up the case on their site. I was told they don't have any of the card left and are making a new one and was told it could be in "tomorrow or not for a couple more months". I have a hard time it takes 10+ weeks to make a replacement or the fact that they had no extras to begin with considering some of the rare stuff they hold back for higher end released.

Are you serious? You think they can hit the "print" button like you do in a word document and a card pops out from the printer on the spot, just for you?

If they had it in stock, they'd send it. If they had it in stock, they're not going to go through the hassle to re-make 1 measly card that isn't in production anymore just for you.

As mentioned above, Panini is usually good at remaking the card. Expecting it right away is highly irrational. My serial numbered card was remade with the same serial number within a few weeks. The entire process from my first contact with Panini, to shipping and receiving the card in the mail back took almost exactly a month.
