Retro 01/02 Fleer Legacy Break

Local store had a couple boxes of 2002 Fleer Legacy hobby boxes so I decided to go for one. I wasn't expecting much other than a fun cheap break and thats what I got. For those not familiar with the product I scanned a few base:

In my opinion Fleer's products (Legacy, Greats of the Game, Throwbacks) from this period produced some of the best base cards ever. Nice clean design with some great shots.

As for the "hits," here they are:

Perreault and Gillies are /202
Lemieux and Trottiet are /2002

All are FT for autographs or PEI guys.

Cool break, who was the parent company of Fleer in 2002? Did Upper Deck own their rights yet? or did Topps? Or was Fleer still a standalone company then?

I thought Fleer Legacy was an awesome product, it had Tony Twist memorabilia cards in it! nice break.

I not 100% sure but I think Fleer was solo until it sunk to bankruptcy in 2005, then the name was bought by UD.

Correct. Fleer did make some very incredible sets when you think of it. The Greats of the Game Auto set is one of the finest auto sets produced...

Agree with the OP - Throwbacks is one of my favourite sets ever.
