Rick Nash Retires

One of my favourite memories as a collector was meeting Nash at a public signing (where he absolutely was NOT going to sign ANYTHING per a GTA autograph retailer) and us riffing on Joe Thornton for being the guy that borrows stuff and never returns it.

I never realized how much Boston gave up for him, only to get 23 games out of him. Wow.

Quite a great player when he was healthy. Loved him on the Team Canada Olympic teams. Always too bad when a career is cut short but just another reason they are trying to cut down on the head shots.

Sad he can't come back but he really put the Jackets on the map. Loved the city, the team, and the players CBJ got in return for him benefited the team. If it was my decision I'd raise #61 to the rafters. Can see him working for the team in some aspect

One of my favorite memories is seeing all of his high end cards (around the 2002-2008 time) and of course the goal against PHX was something

Let's pop open the S&T thread and get a tribute going (all my stuff is back home) but will see if I have pics somewhere of a few goodies I have

Sucks to see him go out due to head injuries, but congrats to him on a memorable career.
