this might be old news as i am not really a nascar fan but heard today that ricky rudd announced that he would retire at the end of the year. that makes atleast two new openings for next year as rusty wallace is retiring... jason

I just got off the phone with him and he said he is not certain yet. He is waiting on a phone call from KJ. After that his decission will be final.

From what I hear he will still race part time and you know most of those will be road courses and the wee small tracks. None the less racing won't be quite the same for me next season.
