Probably mainly b/c Letang wasn't seriously injured. But the intent was to injure for sure. The NHL has to do better on this. I'm just glad it wasn't 5 games only, which would have been a total joke.

The hit was bad, but his comments about it afterword was disgusting. It just proves the guy is a toolshed who doesn't deserve to be in the league. I get that it's a huge rivalry and all, but to make those comments and laugh about it is not something the league should tolerate. I don't understand how the Flyers brass puts up with this guy, they are known for ridiculous contracts and decisions, but this is even beyond their realm of craziness. Just ship this turd to the ECHL or the KHL already, and pack Carcillo in his suitcase while you're at it.

I'm actually surprised it wasn't only 5 or 6 seeing as Letang only missed one game. Deserves every bit of 8 and maybe a couple more.
