Wow...this is absolutely shocking to me. A guy that loved what he was doing...and he died doing what he loved to do.

Tragic loss to professional wrestling fans, especially of the Japanese strong style Style...his matches with Kawada and Kobashi are some of the best you'll ever see.

Heard about this and I am pretty much stunned. Another thing to ponder--where does Pro Wrestling NOAH go from here?

Misawa in his prime was amazing. not as flashy as Muta or Kobashi, but a very stoic figure who could hit you hard as hell. Last couple years he was trying to retire due to his physical condition (last I saw he had a gut that would make most hobby shows proud) but couldn't as Kobashi kept getting hurt and Japan crowds didn;t take to Akiyama as well as they hoped.
