Rolston is a good signing even though he's 34 years old. He has turned into quite an exceptional player in the last few years.
Devils did sign Holik to a 1 year contract... I believe for $2.5M

I dont think the money is the problem I think its the term. At 2 or 3 years it's a solid deal.
But 5 years? For a 35 year old? Does he have 5 years left in him? Not just that, but because he was 35 years old when he signed the deal, if he retires or anything the total $5M counts against the cap for the duration of the deal.

I'm glad to see Brian back, was sorry to see him leave. I'm not happy with the money or the length of the contract. Oh well, wait and see I guess.
