Sakic snowblower injury??

Actually the machine was off, but apparently the auger still turns even if that's so.

The report is that no one was madder about it than Sakic himself, and that's saying something.

I wouldn't be surprised if Joe recovers in 6 weeks for sheer spite, and flicks off a wicked wrist shot at the Zamboni on his way back out onto the ice just to put all augers on notice.

I'm still in the opinion that if he is off work (hockey) with a back injury (getting paid), he should NOT be out there working on snow removal. Yes good on him for doing his own home maintanence, but if I'm off work getting paid, I'm NOT allowed to remove snow from my driveway, with a shovel or snowblower, why is he different? I'm not disputing that accidents happen, I just don't think he should have been out there in the first place. I love Joe, but this just doesn't look good.

Imagine it was Joe the factory worker off with a bad back......he would be crucified

If I replace Capt. Canada's head with a coconut, do you think anyone would notice? :owned:

Seriously though, that sucks and I hope Joe heals quickly. I'm glad he didn't lose his whole hand from this incident!

I just heard on the radio that he tried to shut the thing off and he didn't realize it was still on. Accidents do happen, but if this is his last season that would be a major downer..
