man o man that is one fascinating read, love all the customs and the hard work you put into such brilliantly executed cards is amazing not to mention all the hard work at the charity events, I tip my cap to you good sir thank you for posting and it was a pleasure to read the whole post, and is it just me or is that not the manliest man photo of harrison ford ever?

holy moly most impressive!

Love seeing the unusual players get some hobby love :)

Try multiple passes at lower power or higher speed to avoid melting the foil

Wowowowow! Just speechless.

Incredible customs; my faves ares definitely the Lu / McLean dual ap & the Retro RC's.

Forgot to showcase the completed puzzle now having obtained Nick Bonino:

Thanks for the great comments and encouragement guys!

devilhockey3: good question, I find I quite like the challenge of trying to create more and more different templates. A lot of the time, the photo I have to work with will dictate what design the player will get (e.g. sometimes I have only a headshot, which would not work on a design like Priority Signings, or Young Guns). And then, I'd hate to waste a full body photo on a card design featuring only a headshot. Ultimately, over the years, I've created a really large database of 'constructed from scratch' templates which I can use and reuse for ANY player moving forward so long as the photography is right!

Chillychow: stock-wise, I have asked my local print store for several samples of semi-gloss, cardboard stock. They have found me a very good 25 pt stock which I now use for all my cards. Any thicker and it would probably be too thick to cut patch windows in..although, with the laser cutter =)

One of the finest and most enjoyable threads to date. Each subsequent post is better then the last Richard! Thanks for sharing your incredible work and passion!

That Luongo/McLean homemade card is just unreal.....
Looks a lot better than mostly of the actual licensed cards during the 6 last years....no kidding!

130% Amazing job with that card!

I've not read many (any?) threads in a while, but I read every word of this one. Awesome stuff Richard, great looking customs and I love your Canucks "Skate" Jersey.
