Scanner opinions & Question?

O.K. everyone, really need your opinions and any technical advice on this one. I am finally going out to buy a scanner in the next day or so, but know nothing of them. What are your opinions on a great scanner to buy and any thing I should look for on the tech side to get. I have about $150 but can go over a little.

Any recomendations will be greatly appreciated, as I know nothing about scanners. Also my question to you all is what type of software would I need to add scans of cards into thumnail vies much like lecavalierfan's sig. I am looking to add scans of my collection to a new web page.

yeah if all you plan to do is scan your cards a cheap scanner will do the job just fine.

Unless you plan to do some super high resolution scanning or anything pretty much any scanner will work just fine

Im using a Cannon that Ive had for 2 years - 100 bucks and never anything close to resembling a problem.

I have an Epson 3170 Photo, and I love it. I can even scan the Ultimate cards pretty well, when most have a problem scanning slabbed cards. Hope this helps. Mike
