scratching redemptions

I pulled two Artifacts redemptions but can't scratch it to see the redemption codes. I used a coin to scratch it but all that does is peel off the redemption code sticker. Now I have two redemptions that I can't redeem.

I guess I'll just take it to one of the new redemption centres and let them figure it out.

Any other ideas?

yeah, they have been much tougher of late... Used to be able to take it off in one swipe now I have to use a small screw driver..

Maybe try it with a little piece of sandpaper? just wear it off the plastic...

Hi I have had the same problem - I ended up peeling the silver sticker completely off- BUT very slowly or it pulls the letters off ; if it does pull off the letters hold it up to a mirror to read/figure out the letters that were peeled off . Good luck I have had 4 and none of them could be scratched !!!

I had the same problem with my 08-09 SPA redemptions. I had to really put the elbow grease to it with a spoon-tip.

An awful feeling when you're not sure if you're wrecking the code or not.

I put tape on it and remove it.Keep doing that until you can see the code.

That's the point. That's all it usually takes. There have been some releases that are near impossible lately.

I went to the local card shop and one guy used a knife to scratch it off. I usually only need to use a penny to scratch it but not even that worked with Artifacts.

I wrecked one, scanned it and emailed it to UD, they sent me the code.

i usually use the end of a ruler to scratch them off. never really had a problem

I've never had a problem scratching them off before Artifacts. The Artifacts cards don't even appear to be scratchoffs. I pulled the silver sticker off slowly and managed to save most of the number.

For me....one came off easy....the other took 3 swipes with a piece of tape and then some gentle rubbing with a knife edge

i agree with the knife edge, but i normally use the dull side of scissors... works great if you scratch is gently
