Seeking opinions on 15-16 ITG The Final Vault

i was asked for an opinion not a revue.....i can back up why i feel this way if so warranted.....you can call my opinion on this what ever you like as you are entitled to your opinion and of course it holds no water with me therefore i would feel no need to get all uppity about it or leave the forum

Good grief! The OP asked for opinions, not a forum debate to definitively sway him one way or the other. 1 person offers slightly, oh so slightly, negative feedback and gets attacked. And the other 2 thirds of their statement actually supported the price point of the product. Ridiculous!! If people are offended by the word "garbage" when applied to something you enjoy, I respectively suggest you are being overly sensitive. You may want to adjust some of the settings on your Net Nanny application to avoid these demoralizing threads.

And in all fairness, "garbage" may be literally the most applicable description of this product since these cards should never have seen the light of day to begin with. For those people that love the product, fantastic. Be grateful that it exists and that you have the opportunity to pull cards you enjoy. I don't understand why such simple topics turn so negatively partisan. I guess some people just like the drama....

As they say, one man's garbage is another man's treasure (hoping that does not offend anyone)

Wow, this from the 'sensitive' member who PM'd me and begged me not to continue a discussion on another thread because his feelings were hurt? Pot, please meet kettle, lol. :snapout:

The original poster asked for an opinion, and as is seemingly the way with most topics here regarding ITG they inevitably turn from friendly and helpful to a more derogatory tone, like the garbage comment you are now so vehemently defending webottew. It would be exactly the same thing if someone had a thread and posted a Upper Deck card (not my favorite manufacturer but not going to tear them down because of it) and asked an opinion and I offered the colorful term 'steaming pile' before leaving my negative opinion on the card. I'm fairly certain a LOT of U.D. collectors would take me to task on it. And they rightfully should! We can help fellow collectors without trashing (yes, a pun) what they collect, I believe. I really do miss the old days here on the forums, it just wasn't so anti-ITG... :brow:

Yeah, not going to fall for the bait on that one amigo. Probably just leftover angst from our last discussion. Moving on.

To the original posts author, my apologies for the partial hijack.

My opinion, from someone that actually opened multiple cases of this products, from dealers and at the Expo for the redemptions; If you can get these boxes at the discount you are claiming, and can live with a V on the card, then you are going to like a lot of the cards in your breaks. Some cases were loaded, others half loaded, lol. I found a quarter percent plus were cards from NHL licensed years with full logos, as you can see from some I showed above. I did very well with this product. If you do break some please do share here. Enjoy. Cheers! -Mike

PS- Just wanted to share this card from another ITG Vault offering, Superlative. Imagine if this card had been trashed as some would have hoped instead of being put into the hands of collectors? Elmer Lach is no longer with us, may he rest in peace. I just don't see 'garbage' when I look at this card.

I love vault and wish I could find some cheap!!! I agree that you need to watch how you answer. People today think they can say whatever they want cause it's their opinion. Let's all try to be respectful and say things in such a way.

Haha, a single person had a negative comment and you hijacked the thread, but it's everyone else's issue because they're all just anti-ITG?

What has this forum become? lol

Amen brother.

Wish I could find it that cheap, lol. ;)

trying my best to get away from this thread but i can tell you this much for sure....if the post was looking for opinions on upper deck vault my response would have been the exact same

I can't get over the V on the cards. Some gorgeous cards for sure, but for me the V ruins it.

And by no means do I hate ITG, I have picked up some nice In the Game Used these past two years.

Boy did I stir the pot or what. Let me start by saying thank you to everyone for the input. I do not get to spend a lot on the hobby like I wish, but DACW had a weekend sale going on and offer The Final Vault at a low price tag. My hopes were to hit something nice and have a few tradeables. But my concern was striking out. I have seen a lot of examples of some very nice hits. Congrats to those that pulled them. And heard various opinions on some mediocre breaks. My decision was not to try it. I had some nice hits in my last breaks of UD1 (a Laine Canvas Young Gun, and a Aho Canvas Young Gun) and felt my luck may be running out. So I passed on The Final Vault. Went with 2 boxes of UD2 to hopefully complete my UD set for 16-17. Will see how my luck is on that. Thanks again everyone and hope I did not create to much friction amongst some really grate traders here. Love these boards and the time that I do get on them.

no friction brother...couple (one) member that just looks to start arguments where ever he/she can....glad you got the end results you were looking for based on all opinions expressed

Like anything else it's hit or miss. But for the price you can't beat it. Some of the hits can really be insane. I just bought a case and was extremely happy. I may buy another one depending on my next batch of overtime.
