Hi all,
With all the buzz about COMC lately, I'm filling up a couple boxes to send in as a pilot project to see how things go, and then I'll send more.

I'm in the process of selecting cards to send in, and I have a question about the lowest value cards others feel should be sent in. For example, I opened a few boxes of 12-13 Score, and have a stack of Score inserts, such as Team Score, Net Cam, First Goal, Franchise, and base gold parallels. Is it worth it send these in, or should I not bother?

Look forward to hearing others' opinions!

Thanks,
Myles

I don't know if there is a right answer here. It really depends on where your expectations are on these cards.

You are going to pay a quarter a piece for listing them so you know you have to sell then for over $0.50 to really make it worth your while. They are cards that are likely not to sell anywhere else and many are likely not to sell on COMC however you will get sales that will suprise you from, what I presume is, folks who are building sets and such that will pay $0.80 for a Season Highlights card because they can package it up with 50 other cards.

I have sold a lot of these type cards over the last year but there are a lot sitting in store as well and my ability to pick/choose/guess which ones are going to sell is awful. Some of the ones I thought would sell are sitting there and ones I planned on being burried with went for twice what was expected - it's an odd crapshoot.

Sorry for the non-answer there. I would say that if you are sending in 300 cards total you may want to skip the Score - if you are sending in a significant amount of cards and making a bit more of an investment, it's worth sending in the Gold cards for sure.

Hi Myles, thanks for giving us a chance, we appreciate your business and look forward to working with you.

Just to let you know, we do offer a $20 off discount for your first transaction - all you need to do is include a note that you're sending in your 1st transaction, and ask for the $20 discount. That'll cover the processing fees for ~100 cards.

Also, if you're sending in Score 12-13 hockey, you can take advantage of our current Hot List special - as "12-13 hockey" is the Hot Theme for the current COMC Hot List. You can check out our blog for more details, and what you can do to take advantage of that particular special.

Thanks again, and have a great day!

Hey There.

I met the comc guys at the expo and I selected carefully what cards I would send to them.
I chose a lot of 100 that were worth anywhere from 1 buck to 10 bucks and left it at that. Anything that was worth more than that, I put into my ebay store. As Joe stated, I left off the massively produced stuff as I saw quite a bit of that sort of stuff over at COMC. Score, Victory, lower end MVP were example I left off the list.

I am waiting for them to list my 100 cards so I can try it out. If it goes well I will send more and still maintain my ebay presence. I dunno if that helps but that was my thought process. Whilst you save time in having them do all the work, at the same time you want to make it worth your while.

Cheers
Ameet
