Sending CASH

Hey gang I am helping my friend make a LARGE purchase, only problem SELLER wants CASH !! Do we know any creative ways of doing this ?? ANY help is appreciated. PM or POST. Needs to be done MondayThanks in advance

Thanks for all the posts so far. Additional information, it is a very well known dealer , he asked what we wanted to pay, we said price, and he said no problem, must be cash.

Do a money order? Sending cash is insane especially if it's a large amount.

Have a HI member living there help you. Sending cash is always risky.

Is there any way of you or your friend covering your arses or any kind of accountability for the seller on this one? If not, I wouldn't send cash to anyone. E-transfer to an HI member in the area if possible, at least it's someone you trust.

No way, red flag as to why it has to be cash. Unless you have someone you trust to act as the in person middle man I would say no.

I would be interesting to see what the seller would say to an in person exchange, just to gauge how legit the deal is.

Never send cash, especially large amounts, to people you don't know. It's a recipe for disaster. And that doesn't even take into account how Canada Post can **** it up.

Money Order. If he doesn't accept that, then I'd be leery about the entire deal in the first place.

Ps: I've done close to 400 deals for cards all with cash. Not once have I had an issue. Sometimes it takes awhile. But it always gets there.

We'll known dealer or not I would never recommend sending cash. Please understand, Scott and myself have dealt with numerous situations and if people sent cash you can say adios to your money.Your taking all the risk

Ask this.... Why is this person requesting cash in the mail?????

Please rethink and come up with another way...use a Money order,Someone in the area of the well know dealer to help you. Cover yourself

same as cash and fairly easy from what I understand.

I agree with everyone else, even if I completely trusted the person I was sending it to, I don't have the same level of trust with the post office.

I suspect that the other end wants to avoid CC fees. At least. That's not your problem.

Email money transfer, money order, or even personal cheque can all solve that issue if the seller is also Canadian.
