Anyone else notice the pricing for Series 1 is coming out slowly, a few sets are priced every three-four days. I don't ever remember seeing that before.
So far the following is put:
Base and Young Guns
Clear Cut
Exclusives
Canvas
Jerseys
Clear Cut Superstars
Clear Cut Foundations
Goalie Nightmares
Day with the Cup
Piece of History

Not Priced:
Portraits
Shining Stars
Patches
Signature Sensations
Super Colossal

BTW, Matthews Clear Cut- $1500.00 :whatthehell:

On the Beckett forums here is their response to why some subsets are still not priced.

"It's because I have been out of the office for 3 weeks as we had a baby the first week of November. Upon my return lesser insert sets in S1 had to take a back seat to two magazines and a book. It will be done this week. Should you need to know anything else I will be happy to help you, you can email me directly at [email protected]"

Were the prices based only on sales at the Toronto Expo? Have they ever heard of Konecny or Vesey?

Two things - first, Eric is a great guy. Met him at spring expo and had a lengthy chat with him about his price guide job. Second, as I tell anyone who will listen, Beckett pricing is basically one person. Although he does consult with hockey magazine editor Stephen Laroche on more sensitive card pricing.

People still buy the beckett? I thought that was a thing of the past. I just go right off of ebay pricing. The reason why I don't buy becketts because the older stuff never gets looked at.

Guys we aren't allowed to post lists of Beckett prices. One off cards here and there is fine but not lists like was posted.

I don't want to receive a legal letter from them.

Thanks

Geez... that's not really fair. The guy should be able to take time off, etc.. they should at least work in a team of two. Unless times are bad at Beckett, it doesn't make much sense. 'Another pair of eyes' as they say is not a bad thing as well.
