So the big day has arrived, I am curious what prices people are seeing on boxes and cases. Please post them here.

Thanks,

Kevin

I bought two hobby boxes of UD1 for $175 Canadian taxes in, so was able to pre-order two boxes of UD2 for $185. The owner is out of hobby boxes and tins, but still has blasters at $45 each.

The guy who runs the Card Rack is solid, he seems to understand having a solid base of returning clients is better than trying to take advantage on one off type of seasons (Chase McDavid, Chase Bedard).

Remember when The Cup was priced at this price and everyone freaked out. Now a box of S2. Times have changed!!

Paid $340 taxes in at Superstars in Winnipeg this afternoon… and was limited to one box as the guys said they were just about out of inventory. Blasters were $59 plus tax.

As a 30 year plus LCS customer and he is $OLD OUT of his consignment, I paid 10.00 CAD more than what I paid for Series ONE.
Simply helping out those in one OR two box need!
NOT enough of those guys anymore.

so what's UD's justification for the price hike? Are they going with the surge pricing model of Uber/Lyft/Doordash/Postmates whenever there's a shiny new rookie like Bedard and double/triple/quadruple price or are they offering something different from Series 1 which was basically 3 packs condensed into 1? Is it going to be the same for Cellebrini next year?

Upper Deck doesn't set the prices. It's mostly the distributors. The product on preorder cost the same as series 1. The demand is high so it's supply and demand. If the boxes were 150, then you would have customers buying out the store supply to flip it on ebay for 3x the price. Those who didn't preorder the price goes to what the market will pay for it.

I paid the same for my case as I did for UD1. It helps that I've bought product from the same guy for 15 years.

$325 hobby taxes in....$50 blasters taxes in...$150 tins taxes in....tried my luck with two blasters (2 ygs per blaster) and pulled a minty looking Bedard....got to get lucky sometimes!
