Set Complete, FINALLY!

One card in the mail today, completing a little five card set that I have been working on since its release in 1997:

Home Jersey 96/100:

Away Jersey 89/100:

Stick 97/100:

Glove 51/100:

Stirrup 23/100:

There you have it. To my knowledge this is the only Leaf Lindros Collection set put together will all multi-color memorabilia pieces. The scans do these no justice whatsoever.

I remember doing the whole Frank Thomas set like that from 1997 Leaf baseball. Alas, I traded or sold those cards, but it was super hard...especially in the early days of internet. :|

These cards really set the stage for the memorabilia cards of today. When these were made they were the first patch, stick, glove and sock cards in the hobby. I'm really glad that Leaf decided to use Lindros as the focus of this set and not Mario or Wayne.

Just imagine if Donruss/Leaf, Pinnacle and Pacific still produced hockey cards in todays....just amazing that those early memorabilia cards ineed still looks excellent in todays standard.
