You know those nagging parallel, insert, jersey sets you’ve been working on for years and are down to 5 or less needed to complete, but you just can’t seem to find them? Well, maybe this thread can help.
Rules are pretty basic. You can list 5 sets of parallels, inserts, jerseys, etc. that you are currently working on, and if you need 5 or less cards to complete them, post it in the thread. As you get the cards, edit your post to delete them. Once you’ve finished a set, delete the entire set and add a new one if you want. As long as there’s no more than 5 sets in your post, and each set needs no more than 5 cards, you’re good to go.
Let’s try to keep the posts for as the thread is intended; we’re all big boys and big girls here, so let’s be ‘reasonable’ about things. Here are a few of the ‘please-don’t-post’ guidelines.
A) This is NOT a player PC thread. If your post has 5 sets, and all the cards you need are Wayne Gretzky (or Taylor Pyatt for that matter), that’s not what this thread is for.
B) If you’re doing ‘team sets’ from various products, please don’t list them in this thread. For example, if I put 2005-2006 UD Masterpiece print plates – XXXXX, YYYY, ZZZZZ, and they are all Canucks, that’s not what this thread is for.
C) Try to keep it to sets that have at least 15 cards in them. Yes, there are a lot of sets that have 10 or less cards, you can include them, but use your best judgement (these types of sets would have to be pretty limited to be okay for the thread).
D) Be as specific as possible. For example, please don’t list as (for example) 2003 UD parallels: Linden, Palffy, Doan. That post would tell us nothing, given there are many different levels of UD parallels from that year.
E) Try to keep it to sets that are at least a few years old. While we are very, very impressed, and it is truly amazing that you are less than 5 cards away from completing your 13/14 Score Glossy set, those cards aren’t really that hard to find at this point, so that set shouldn’t be included yet.
F) If you have a large set that you need, for example, 17 cards for, please don’t list 5, then replace each one you get with another card. That’s not what this thread is for.
There you go! Hopefully, this will help a lot of us get some of those nagging insert/parallel/jersey, etc. sets out of the way.
When you get a card from your list, please remember to delete it from you post.
Also, if you have a card from someone's list, please send them a PM, rather than post in the thread. We want to keep the thread for the wantlists, and not littered with 'I have this card, send me your offer' and 'PM sent to XXXXX.'
