Shadow Boxes & Jersey sizes

I have an a couple of jersey that I am hoping to get shadow boxes for.

The first jersey is an adult size XL and the second is an adult ccm size 50. What size shadow boxes would I need to properly display these jersey.

Is there a standard rule of thumb to follow for future purchases?

The jerseys I framed (both different sized jerseys), have about 2 inches on the sides and top, bottom I have more only because I have it matted and on the bottom I have a name plate.

Whether you are using matting/mounting or just hanging the jersey from a hanger, I would say a 2"ish border all around would be fine.

I picked up a couple of these cases yesterday and I'm going back for a 3rd if it can be ordered in. They're a glass front with magnetic closure, though I'm unsure if the glass is U.V. resistant or not. However for the price they're great.

Thanks for the comments. The ones from London drugs seem to be right in the alley of what I need, unfortunately they are in store pick up only and I am in the other end of the country.

If you're handy with tools, you could make one. There is a boat load of videos on youtube about display cases/shadowboxes for jerseys.

For my frames, I used a DIY frame kit from michaels (was on clearance picked up for $10, plexi was extra), the other frame I had a framing place make it for me, not Michaels, as they wanted $450 for the frame and that was with a 40% off coupon. It was a framing place that specialized in sport memorabilia, the name escapes me at the moment, but I paid $115+tax for it, without plexi.
