Here's it is...What's your take on my question an his answer?
"Hi there, I was just wondering what your opinion was on Brad Boyes of the Bruins. I've been a fan of his since juniors and he's always done well in every situation he's been in. He's been on fire since the Thornton trade allowed him to be the teams number two centre (although he plays the wing most of the time). He's currently fourth in rookie scoring with 16-28-44 totals in 58 games (second on the team). The best stat perhaps may be his plus-10 rating (fourth among rookie forwards). Do you think he has the potential to be a rookie second-team member this year? What is his long term potential in the league? Also, I think he may be a solid captain candidate down the road for the B's. He's previously been the captain of Erie, and was an alternate in Cleveland and Providence. What's your take? Daryl, In any other year, Boyes would be a first-team rookie contender but, this year, he has to fight for a spot on the second team. Considering how well he's played since Joe Thornton's departure (11-19-30, plus-10 in 32 games), it's pretty safe to think Boyes will be a second-teamer and it may not be out of the realm of possibility that he could push Svatos for a spot on the first team. Everything I've heard about Boyes indicates that he's a solid character and, with the letter experience he already has, he could very well be a captain candidate. Long-term, I figure Boyes is capable of being a point-per-game guy, but I'm just grateful that I picked him up on my fantasy team when Thornton was dealt. Oh, and Leafs fans may hate the Nolan-for-McCauley-and-Boyes trade more than any, including Courtnall for Kordic. - SC "
