Its been reported the the Suns and Heat are very close to finishing a big multi-player trade that would see Shaq going to the Suns and Marion heading to the Heat.

Glad to see Marion get his wish. Enjoy last place while your numbers drop without those sweet assists from Nash. Hope you get everything you deserve :D

Can't wait for the Lakers/Suns games if it happens. Shaq/Nash against Kobe/Gasol....fun games there. And could the West get any more competitive if it happens? Yikes!

I am under the impression that the Suns will gwt alot more then just Shaq as Marion is the premier player in the deal. The Suns are trying to build a team to beat the Spurs, Amare isn't enough he needs more help in the middle. I think Shaq is a short term plan, a hired big man for the playoffs.

I think Marion is an under used and under appreciated player. Nash brings out the best in him but the guy is a solid all around player...not to mention that he has the ugliest 3 point shot ever.

Shaq would be rejuvinated I think with a change of scenery. He seems to get that extra ooomph back in his game whenever he moves on.

Lakers/Suns will be terrific games. Shaq against Bynum is what I'm looking for.:)

Well I guess he has to pass that physical first which isn't a given

And Marcus Banks is in that deal too so it is 2:1

Hopefully Shaq has some left - maybe he will and be well rested but the west is very competetive so you certainly need an edge where you can find it.

I hope they don't regret getting rid of Marion but i think he would be gone next year anyway.

We'll see how it plays out

Anyway Go Celtics

Shaq can't keep up with that Phoenix style of ball, he will wear out by the time they run up and down the court a few times, he is too old and DONE FOR!!!

Was shocked to hear about this trade. During one of my classes I had here at school today, a group of students were discussing this trade and they said they heard on the news it was a done deal. It turns out that they made this trade official 2 hours ago while I was watching the local news here. Yeah I don't think Shaq will be able to keep up the pace that the Suns like to play out on the court. Time will tell on that one.

Deal is done.

It is said that Kerr pulled off the deal because the Lakers aquired Gasol. I don't know if it is a good trade but I do think the Suns with a HEALTHY Shaq has a better chance of beating the Lakers, Spurs and Mav's. This is one of those deals that we won't know until the end of the season. If nothing else the Suns will make a crapload of money off Shaq memorbillia.

Did anyone else watch the Suns - Hornets game last night? Shaq received a standing-o. He sat down and the crowd keeping cheering, he got up and pointed to his championship ring and gave a thumbs up (all on the big screen) and the crowd went nuts.

Suns will definitely be scary. Hopefully they get Dallas, the Hornets, or LA in an early round and the Spurs get an easier road to the Finals.

Shaq, always the entertainer at heart. I would LOVE to see a Suns/Lakers series, that woudl be awesome.

As long as the Spurs don't win. Tim Duncan is getting to be like Tom Brady with all those rings only a nicer guy and he is earning them a bit more honestly than Brady.

I agree with you Barrie. I don't think there has ever been another athlete who can entertain the fans away from the game like Shaq can, he is a really funny guy....a big kid for sure.
