Shayne Gostisbehere?

He wasn't close to a common when his YGs were first released. I sold many for $10-$12 at the time. He was highly touted and had a great first season. Plus he plays in Philly which helps

All the points above are true and valid.

I would still recommend selling now. Defenceman rarely hold value.

If you like him, buy it back a few years from now, for likely a lot less.

There hasn't been much rookie wise in Philly to be excited about in a while (see- Rob Zepp, Ty McGinn, Alt, Ben Holmstrom to name a few)....and my favorite- Jason Akenson.

He produced points at a Karlsson/Klingberg/Burns rate in his rookie year. Too hard to tell if he can maintain it as his career goes on, but that kind of rookie production makes collectors and prospectors go bonkers

He's one of those guys that everyone knew he was good but wasn't expecting him to be THAT good. A big surprise for Philly fans when he started producing and helped them reach for the playoffs when Philly was not a great team this year.

You'll see Vatrano's cards from this year do the same if he puts up the goals he did in the AHL for the Bruins.

We have a love affair with the Ghost Bear here in Philly. It all starts with his historic Frozen Four performance, here in Philly, then he comes in this year and leads us to the playoffs, plus not having a home grown Dman or stud rookie in a long time, and poof, this is what you get.

He has actually been really good his entire career. During his time at Union College he was one of their best players and in the nation that year. Hakstol remembers him well from that season, the Sioux lost out that year.

Players given playing time and the right situation can really shine in the NHL. It happens every year, but I wish I had the Young Guns Exclusives back I sold before his mega point outburst. Would have gotten 5x the sale price...
