I was watching this Jagr/Cleary Elite back to future auto and wanted to win it but something was troubling me. The exact same card ended just a week before and suddenly was relisted. I sent the seller a couple of emails just asking a few simple questions on the relisted but he/she never responded.

Do anyone know the seller (shawn_nadeen) or know who bought it? Looking at the bidders I almost feel like it was a shill bid happening. I still would love the card but when the seller didn't respond warning bells started ringing in my head.

The original buyer has fantastic feedback, so why did the transaction not get completed. Looks like the exact same people were bidding minus the original bidder. So was the original bidder shilling it to help the seller establish a price?

Here is the first auction

Second auction (relist)

I actually won the auction, lost out on the first time. Seller told me that the high bidder didn't want the card anymore....offered me a second chance. I told him that I would give him $65 since the third highest bidder only bid $51. The seller relisted and I rebid. I've won the auction and already paid for it.

I was thinking it might have been a shill

This was his response in the second chance offer:

"Member states that he bid on this card for a friend who know longer wants it. Sometimes, I hat selling on Ebay."

Excellent, thanks for the info. He didn't respond to me which made me lose interest even though we wanted the card.
