there is a lot of this going on as well I encountered someone with 150 retractions in 6 months.This evening I am bidding on about 40 auctions and so far there has been 3 bid retractions on different auctions.Makes one feel very uncomfortable whether a buyer or seller.

In the past 30 days, the bidder has bid on 27 items, and placed 123 bids. Every one of them is with this seller.

Pretty solid evidence of a shiller.

Check the sellers other items too. he has bid on a bunch of them. Every one thats over 30$ has a few bids by the r***r( 4 ) guy. THAT IS SHILLING!!!!

Because a LOT of collectors won't touch an item, even if they want it, if the opening bid is 'high' to them.

That is brutal, I just start at a price I am happy with but I know what you mean that people will shy away from a high starting bid.

To see that info, click on the "xx bids" link by the ending price, showing how many bids on that item. This takes you to the bid history screen and you can click on the name of the individual bidder to see their 30-day bid history. I haven't reported a shiller to eBay in a long time, but they used to be pretty responsive when I did.
