just curious..

I have a pending deal with penguinsrock93 now for 27 days.

Its just base cards.. but I have never had a "across the border" deal take so long.

2 weeks ok.. im game.. 3 weeks.. Im worried..

4 weeks.. there is a problem.

Now at the 2 week point I asked him about this purchase and was accused of severe impatience.

Im beginning to think the package is lost and not going to get here.

Have I been patient enough now for ya?
 
Last week, I got a package from Canada that was postmarked November 2005... so I'd say be patient a while longer.

If you didn't ask for expedited/tracked shipment, then you have to be patient.
 
I had a package come in from New England that took 6 days including a weekend so you never know. Usually its 2-3 weeks easy.
 
Shipping gets delayed and the odd time lost. I'm more than a reasonable guy here and will be willing to fix the problem. Just give it some more time. There is nothing here to show that I would rip you off. I sent you a PM. If you were this civil in your last bunch of PM's that you sent me then we wouldn't be at this point. In private you accuse me of everything possible. Be courteous and pollite and we'll fix the issue.

Here's what I'm thinking...
A) You were mad at me from before and you got the cards but because you're mad you claim you haven't got them.
B) The cards may have really not got to you which is a possibility.

If the cards haven't got to you yet then that could be true. Normally, I'd be the first guy to send a bunch of replacements. This time your not getting anything. You can sit there waiting. Even if the cards have not gotten to you yet you could have been pollite and courteous about it. Instead your a pompous jerk who accuses me of everything under the sun.
I've earned my reputation here and have made over 85 trades. Some of them have had problems like the one were having now. I've been in your shoes before too. However, the difference I was nice about it and worked with the other guy! I believed the other party when they said they sent it. Since I was understanding it got settled easily.
You on the other hand come here and rip me up every time we talk. Why should I help you know?
Your new to the site and I assume this is your first deal. This is how you treat members who have been on this site for 2 years and have EARNED a repuation.
Trust me I wouldn't dare ruin my repuationation that I worked hard for over a few measely base cards.
I'm still willing to work with you but not if you continue to be so rude and accuse me of evertyhing under the sun.

You are being far too impatient. How long have you waited? I have known Joe for over a year and he is quite simply not the type of person to blow up at anything at all. You need to relax and just be patient. And think about it, you are getting all worried over base cards? This is not worth the time and effort of a separate thread and to be brought into the public. If you need base cards, look around local card shops. I'm sure there are PLENTY.

You know, if you are going to make things public (which I neither advise nor endorse) then you should at least produce both sides of the story as evidence supporting your position.

As has already been said, being polite, civil and patient goes a long way with people. Give it some time and work with your trade partner, not against them.
 
I'm not surprised by the four weeks anymore. It's polite to ask nicely at 3 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks, and then if you need to go further after 6 weeks then that's fine. I've had two packages recently that were sent on time from Canada and took over 2 months to arrive.

And as for copying PM's like that in this forum rather than the confrontation area, probably not a good idea, and you've probably lost some potential trade partners by doing it.

I agree. Packages coming from another country are tricky, then can arrive at any point in time, most from Canada take a few weeks...
 
Anything more than 3 weeks you should get a little suspicious, but there is a right and wrong way to go about things. If you have questions about a trader, all you need to do is talk to the traders he has dealt with in the past instead of over reacting like you did here.

Personally, I have never had any serious issues with items taking an extended period of time to get here and if they do, the person would explain to me why. But again, you are dealing with base cards here and there is no reason for you to act in the way you have..
 
Let me get this straight?

You joined the site in Jan 2007? You're in the midst of completing your first transaction with a member, in very good standing I might add who has been a member since Mar 2005!

As this deal is for base cards! I don't see what the problem is! Except that you're being a might impatient to say the least.

I'd suggest that if you wish to continue this line of 'discussion' further? That you take it to the Confrontation Forum!
