thanks in advance !

I was just there and I did not see any shops around there, but I did pick up a cool Bobby Orr picture from a guy selling large prints outside of the stadium, and had an awesome time at the Hockey Hall of Fame. Have fun!

im also going saturday ... we got the tickets last minute and selected the 'best available' option and got put up in the nosebleeds:eek: !!!!! but we are directly across from the yankees dugout .. so as long as i bring some binoculars i should be golden !!! lucky you field level ... those would be awesome seats for this game ... but im sure they are quite more expensive than my $9 seat ;)!!! .... have fun at the game lecavalier heres one for a good game and nice day:beer:

and thanks for the directions guys !!!!

Queensway sports cards is a fair distance from anything downtown but is far and away the best game in town.

Cardshops in Toronto

Hi,

I'm heading to Toronto over the weekend and I was wondering if anyone recommends a shop to visit.

Thanks
Julian

Julian, if you feel like driving north, our shop is about an hour up Highway 400. There's a Google map on our website in the signature.

Added bonus -- I'm originally from the St. Louis area, so if you bring me Imo's pizza, you can trade for cards. :D

Depends on what you're looking for... someone already mentioned these but Queensway Sportscards has a good collection of singles but is 20 minutes west of the downtown core, and 401 Games is right in the heart of it all and has good prices, but no singles.

Thanks for all the input guys I haven't bought much in the hobby for awhile so it'll be nice to pick something up. I'm driving up the 401 from Detroit after flying in from STL. Think they'd let me bring over one of those pies on the plane? ;)

Queensway Sportscards
692 The Queensway
(416) 503-8945
Fair prices on wax and a great selection of singles. The best card shop in the GTA.

In downtown Toronto, there are 2 shops:

Legends of the Game
322A King West
Corner of King & John -same building as Tim Horton's
2 blocks west of St. Andrew station
Wax and singles are overpriced, but good people and a lot of interesting items can be found here.

401 Games
401 Yonge Street
Corner of Yonge & Gerrard
1 block south of College station
Lots of wax, fairly priced, but no singles. They also carry lots of gaming cards and a wall of McFarlanes.

If you're in the northern part of the city...
Red Nails II
1700 Wilson Avenue (in a mall - forget the name)
Good selection of wax and singles at fair prices.

Driving north on the 400 to Barrie is worth the one hour drive to The Icebox. Very large spacious store with lots of singles, wax, jerseys, and more, plus one of the best dealers in the business.
