Hello everyone,

At this point with my HHOF autograph collection, I'm having to rely on cut signatures to fill it out. I've gone pretty slow with this, as most of the cuts of the big names are rather expensive. However, I have managed to snag a few interesting inductees over the year and wanted to share them here. Moreover, I want to see what everyone else here is packing, because I'm sure it is absolutely incredible. Feel free to plunk them in this thread, whether they came from a pack/certified product or anywhere else.

First, my two non-slabbed cuts:

Clarence Campbell and Babe Pratt

The Campbell is one of the crown-jewels of my collection!

Next, two of the more "questionable" cuts:

Mike Ilitch and Walter Bush Jr.

I typically try to avoid homebrew products like this, but the price was cheap enough that I went for them anyway. I'm happy to have Walter Bush represented in the collection, as he was a massively influential figure in USA Hockey.

Back to products that would have come out of a box:

Murray Costello, Bill Chadwick, and Kenny Reardon

I'm a big fan of the various years of Leaf Sports Icons and am very thankful for how many lesser-available names they have allowed me to add. The Kenny Reardon is one I am especially fond of. I had a Frank Mathers cut on the way as well, but it seems to have disappeared into the ether during delivery.

Now, here are my dual Leaf Sports cuts:

Brian Kilrea/Lou Lamoriello and Brian O'Neill/John Ziegler Jr.

Dave Molinari/Red Fisher, Marc de Foy/Scotty Morrison, and Cliff Fletcher/Keith Allen

I am always on the lookout for Foster Hewitt and Elmer Ferguson Award winners, as recipients are honoured with enshrinement into the HHOF.

Finally, let's go with Famous Fabric Inks:

Ed Snider, Ray Scapinello, Andy Van Hellemond, and Milt Dunnell

I think these cards are very attractive, especially for cut+slabs. I would love to add a couple more to my collection, as a seller has some obscure names I need on eBay, but they are asking for extremely high prices and refuse to budge off of them (sorry to complain about pricing here). Oh well!

Now, let me see what you all have!

This is a really impressive showing already from the start! I have a bunch of cut autos, but unfortunately few are scanned in and zero are hockey. Can't wait to see what shows up here though!

Pacman

That Tim Horton is drool worthy. Such a clean presentation. One of my favorite cards that has been posted here ever.

Literally made my jaw drop. Incredible card. Not sure I had ever seen his sig before.

Gah, those are all incredible. I absolutely love it! Gabby, the King Clancy is damn nice and steveottfan, that entire collection is so impressive. That Barilko is massive.

For those who have gone the Made to Order route through Dr. Price and President's Choice, what was that process like? I have autographed postcards of Jacques Plante, Time Horton, and Doug Harvey that have been in my family for the better part of 50-60 years and would love to create traditional cards of them.

I had to get mine authenticated first . I did it through bgs. I can give you more specifics and a connection through Pm if you want. As you can see, I’m a fan boy for auto jersey cards so I paid extra for the swatch as well. The back of my card also references the bgs authentication sticker that was attached. Their system has a very clear picture of the auto online

Brian is reachable through HI or presidents choice. VERY easy to work with an honestly the cut was out of my hands for less than 60 days. I thought it was a super speedy turnaround and reasonable pricing

Pacman

As Pacman said, a great experience to work with Brian and his team.
My autographs were purchases/authenticated from major auction houses (Heritage and Classic).

To add on to my first post, having Brian’s name on it adds a ton from my perspective. I had another cut that was authenticated by psa. The manufacturer wasn’t worried about license issues so the picture showed Tim Horton in a leafs jersey. I didn’t like that I felt forced to keep it in the psa slab.

Here’s the back as well. I’m very happy with how it turned out as well

😀

Pacman,

I definitely would be interested in hearing more about the process and what you paid through PM, if you have the time.

I agree that having Dr. Price's name and care attached to the cards adds a high level of legitimacy to them. Just super professional looking.

Loving the show here and hope other members keep the train rolling.

That is indeed mine. Thanks Pingu! I need a new way to post images. If anybody is interested. Let me know. We can talk about a deal!

What is the definition of a "cut" signature? As opposed to a general autographed card.

Ben, it is a signature obtained from another source...a game program, check, photo, index card, document, etc. The card company takes that autograph, cuts it to fit their card window and inserts it into the finished card. Thus a cut auto card as opposed to an autograph done directly on the card by the signer, or an autograph signed on a sticker and then the sticker applied to the card.

Hope that helps.
