Show Me Your Cut Signatures!

Ben, it is a signature obtained from another source...a game program, check, photo, index card, document, etc. The card company takes that autograph, cuts it to fit their card window and inserts it into the finished card. Thus a cut auto card as opposed to an autograph done directly on the card by the signer, or an autograph signed on a sticker and then the sticker applied to the card.

Hope that helps.

Thank you so much! That answers my question

I'm absolutely loving everyone's cuts in this thread. Appreciate those who shared their collections so far.

Here's a nice addition to my own library that just arrived today:

Here a few hockey cuts and a couple of extras

Chilly, to say I'm jealous is a huge understatement. That triple of Drillon, Apps, and Davidson is massive. Love the more eclectic cuts you showed off as well.

SNobles, The Rocket is a helluva good one to start off with. Love the "Maurice Richard Inc." on it.

I've got a lot of custom made ones..... this would be my only pack pulled one:

I ran invoicing for a grocery chain to make ends meet while completing grad school and nothing has made me feel older than the high amount of my younger coworkers who only knew him as the guy on salad dressing bottles or pasta sauce jars. :owned:

Awesome card!

Let's get this party started. First some old time Rangers/Americans, Bryan Hextall Sr. Chuck Rayner, Red Dutton, Sweeny Schriner

Bumping this to show off a couple more cuts that arrived this week:

Obviously, J.C. isn't in the HHOF, but he was still a vastly important and talented player. Five-time Cup champ with Montreal, two post season All-Star teams, and a decent Norris voting track record considering the competition at the time. Another championship with Quebec in the WHA and three more post season All-Star nods in the rival league.

Went higher than I normally would securing this one, but I couldn't resist adding a man who likely needs no introduction here. This is also my first Kindest Cuts; they're gorgeous cards.
