Show Off A Gift You've Received

Have you ever been the recipient of a "random act of kindness"? Have you received a holiday bubble mailer that you weren't expecting? Have you ever had a buddy toss a few cards your way "just 'cause"?

I want to see them.


I recently received this oldie but goodie from a fellow collector who knew I liked Linden cards.

And while I already have a copy, it made me think of the few times I have been fortunate enough to receive a generous gift with no expectation of giving anything in return. Made me feel pretty darn good.

Made me think of the times I've fired off cards for no other reason than hoping it brings a smile to someone's face or maybe even making their day.

It's a simple gesture to some, but I often think it has more value than the card itself.

As for my new addition......I'm replacing it with the card currently in my collection. It'll be a solid reminder that this hobby isn't an individual pursiut.

It's a community.

I have been fortunate enough to have recieved gifts from other members as well as players. It would be difficult to show everything I have recieved so I will just show a few right now. I am very thankful for everything that has been given to me. To get a gift, big or small is very meaningful and like the OP said it sure makes you feel good.

and something I have wanted to show but have not previously had time to do so. At the last Fantasy Camp I was at back in May Jim McKenny gave me a personalized Bower Leafs jersey. On the day Jim gave me the jersey he said he had just been at another event with his friend Johnny Bower and he had him sign the jersey to me. I was speachless needless to say. So thoughtful of Jim.
