Have a card that was once all the hype? Or was worth 100x what it's worth now? Don't hold back this is the thread :D

Based on stats, unachieved potential, hype, and hobby love here are a few I have:

I have a large M-A Pouliot collection. He played with Crosby in the local junior team and was a first round draft pick with my second-favorite team, the Oilers. It's the only time I built a large rookie-year collection of a young prospect. I'll have to share more pictures one day, I have multiple Cup RPAs, gold RPAs, FWAP, graded FWA, a lot of low-numbered stuff.

Nothing super crazy, but just picked this up recently:

Was a big fan of his when he broke into the league. He was the next big thing at the time with his stellar rookie year. His cards went for good dollars.

I was wondering, as I was scrolling, if we'd see a Daniel Tkaczuk, and you didn't disappoint, Mr. Drama.

You can pick anyone of my Yakupov cards. But here's one that was quite sought after when it first released.

What was so odd about Tkachuk was he totally dominated at the major A level but never could find that game in the NHL.

I read that he had a pretty bad concussion in his 19th NHL game, and was never the same after it. 11 points in 19 games wasn't that bad for a rookie, in my opinion.

I hear the guy on the left is pretty good, but the one on the right was a bust for being a #1 Pick:

Then two of the bigger cards I pull from ITG Ultimate 4, are the same guy...who didn't pan out in the NHL. But again, I don't think they expected him to.

I have a pretty significant Michael Dal Colle collection...

I have about half of the Exquisites out of /28, all the Green buttons and 3 of the 8 Red Tags...

3rd overall pick in 2001 Alex Svitov (card is /20)

Dan Blackburn- I think his career was short due to injuries but his cards always went for insane amounts and were topping the charts in the beckett magazine hotlists.
