Show your rarest card

I have maybe seen 1-2 copies of each of these cards. These were unreleased and did not show up on any checklists. There is a patch version of the Stastny/Hejduk, but I lost out on it after getting these three

My rarest non 1/1 Johan Hedberg card should be

2 copy of the card poped up at ebay in 2008 at its release I think but unfortunately the cards was insanely expensive at $200-$350 or something.... but I was extremely lucky enough to landing one copy of the card for only $72-$75 (justorgot exactly how much, it was at 2009 I think...)

The card is /7 so there are not many more opportunities to gather one copy of the card! I have one BAP Signature Series Autograph EXPO /5 with Hedberg which is a bit more rare but of course nowhere near of this card....

But it's quite strange that the card got a autograph of Niklas Backstrom, the finnish goalie in Minnesota Wilds and not the Washington Capitials one...because the card is a "sweden stars" card so only swedish players here....

Now it's not first time that UD messes up....

this is an awesome thread, ill play along a little more

now, some of these cards may be /10 (2 of them are less than 10) but to be honest, these days it is NOT hard to find cards /10 this years between the pipes has 6 cards of Cloutier #/5 i have multiples of every one of those 6 cards.

im sharing these cards that i just DONT see anymore

back when i was in my mid teens, these guys were my hero's and this card is the card i would have sold my soul for back in the day. its hard to believe its been almost 5 years since Nazzy left the Canucks. matter of fact, the only players remaining from that team are the Sedins.

the card is just impossible to find now adays as they are all buried deep into pc's im sure.

This card is just a pain in the ***, i just recently added it to my PC FINALLY it is

1998-99 Bowman's Best Mirror Image Fusion Refractors #F9 D.Hasek/D.Cloutier /100

i still need the ATOMIC refractor #/25, OH JOY.

also a note, i own the Blocker Cloutier is wearing in this card :-)

here is an obvious one, i know, i know, its a card /5 but even for it being a card /5 everyone knows these SUCK (or rock if you have one haha) i wonder how many of these made its way into the hands of children and destroyed.

Got my copy in 2010 for 80ish, I remember I had bid close to $200 though. Was shocked, but extremely happy, nobody had tried to snipe it at the end. And had never realized it was the wrong Backstrom, that makes me chuckle.

Here are some of mine. They were given away in 2007 as "previews" to the upcoming Sportkings release. Some were "dealer previews" and others were "VIP previews". You can tell by the wording on the back...otherwise, the fronts look identical to the mini base cards released in Sportkings Series A.

I have only seen a few and haven't seen any hit ebay in years:

I've only seen these cards in the hands a a few set collectors I know, and there are not many of them; the Gretzky was a redemption and the Messier and Gaborik were never released.

I picked up my copy shortly after the set came out if I recall correctly (don't remember this one being on my most-wanted list so I must have picked it up pretty early) so I'm probably one of those guys who shelled out the big bucks on the bay ;) Glad you and Frendo managed to pick up your copies at a much more reasonable price!

So I guess that's three copies buried in the Hedberg, Nazzy, and Sedin PC's... hope the Lidstrom / Enstrom / Backlund collectors have managed to find copies from the remaining ones.

I had the really high bid on mine, because it was off of one of the sellers that had a $200 BIN, must have gotten tired of nobody going for it so put it up at regular auction. I just got really lucky. I'm a sucker for multi-player autos in general and that one is one of my absolute favs.

I'm guessing the scan is so old its been archived now in Flickr, but I have a 2009-10 BTP Tony Esposito Glove Save Silver /9 kicking around in my like...12 hockey cards I still have. I've been looking for it at least once a month for the last 2 years on eBay. Doc Price confirmed to me a couple times that they packed all 9 copies out, but I've yet to see another one, let alone a black or gold with the quality of glove piece this silver has. If anybody has one, I'd love to see it because I'm thinking it could be a Clint Benedict Finest Moments-esque SP.

Here you go Matt (one via Inferno, one pulled)
