Show your rarest card

This thread has been a JOY to look at, I have seen so many cards that I never knew existed. Its always cool to know who has what in the hobby, especially to a documenter like me.

Here are mine

01/02 Ilya Kovalchuk UD Ice Autograph /10, this cards is absolutely amazing in person, the scan doesn't do it justice. When it comes to Ilya Kovalchuk, the only card that I know will not surface until I grow grey hair (i'm in my low 20's btw lol) is his Premier Collection Signatures Black card /5. I shutter at the odds of me obtaining it. I have researched all pictures on photobucket, worthpoint listings (2007-current) and Ebay but still haven't had a lead on it. But hey its the thrill of the hunt.

02/03 Henrik Zetterberg BAP Fall Expo Auto /5. Does anyone know if there is a gold version of this card? Or how I could obtain a checklist of this show stamped set?

06/07 Anze Kopitar SPGU Auto /10. This card sastisfies me more than others in my collection because it was on Ebay for 2 listings, but due to my ability to communicate effectively with the seller, I was able to get his email and purchase the card around a week or two after he pulled it down. Turns out, this card came from a fellow Red Wings collector Nothing gives me more satisfaction than hunting a rare card that isn't available out in the open. I joke sometimes, that collectors make for great detectives lol.

Similar story to the Kopitar above, just higher #'ed. However the duration between the listing being pulled and the point of obtaining it is longer. I actually found out after the fact that it was #'ed to Spezza's jersey number

I know it's /10, but I keep track of all rare Gardiner's and this is the only one I've ever come across in person and on the internet, none on ebay, none on any forums:


Also this one /25 was a redemption. I have 1/25 and once again haven't seen one of these either. (I'm sure a few others are out there though)

Used to have one until I sold off my Salming collection. Pretty sure Mortuus has one in his collection as well.

Never seen another one of these from BAP First Edition

Or one of these stupid game cards from back in 97 or 98 I think ...the gold ones were supposedly the rare ones

This is my rarest non 1/1. For the longest time I questioned if the card existed, and finally someone put it up for trade. Lucky for me he was willing to work with me. I have only seen one other copy made available on ebay.

In terms of availability of the GU material, this is my most rare card.

I don't think we'll be seeing another Captain's "C" from a Joe Sakic Olympic jersey anytime soon. Now to just track down the other half...

Have a couple Galiardi cards that i haven't seen another of, don't know if they are actually that 'rare' but they are to me, here's 3 of them

/10 only seen one other in a year of daily searching for his cards and the guy wanted a ridiculous price for it

I've always thought that this autograph set was one of the nicest ever made. Definitely my favorite for sure. I search for them whenever I think of it. Would love to add some of the old time Leafs to my collection.
