(Cross posting here and in Forum Announcements for max exposure)
Hello everyone!
I am excited to let you all know that after 13 years of owning this wonderful website community, I have sold Hobby Insider.
I purchased this site in April 2012 from Bruce Findlay who was its 2nd owner.
It has been a great run and I am blessed to have made so many friends because of the position as HI owner over the years. That said, for the last several years I have not given HI the TLC nor the investment in deserves as my attention has been diverted to my other hobby endeavors, notably Sports Cards Live.
The new owner of Hobby Insider is a hobbyist whose name is Bryan Doble. His username here is "shaggy". He also has a server guy (username "LWM") who will be assisting him with the behind the scenes tech stuff, something I never had or invested in.
Bryan is also the owner of Sports Card Forum and Freedom Cardboard and I feel that he is the right person to lead and navigate HI into the future where social media is so prominent in the hobby as he will dig in, invest and make this a better experience for our membership. Do not expect immediate wide sweeping changes, he does not want to disturb the culture here, but will make changes in a controlled manner and in due course.
Our lead admin langway05, also a Bryan lol, will remain on as admin and I myself will remain a part of the community posting as I have been over the last few years which while admittedly is less that in the past, I do not plan to leave this place altogether.
Thank you everyone for the ongoing support over the last 13 years. I am truly grateful. As owner of HI, I have been given opportunities that otherwise would not have come my way and that is not lost on me. But I am most grateful for the enduring friendships.
Wishing the best to Hobby Insider and all of our members, with gratitude,
Jeremy
