Anybody else in Western Canada getting some really long delays in their mail coming from the east?

I've got three outstanding packages from deals made on trade sites & eBay going back as far as January 4th and as recent as (to have me thinking about it) January 29th. In all cases I've got utmost confidence in my trader/sale partner so it's got me worried about the delivery service. Not the first time in recent memory that they've kept me waiting more than a couple weeks for my cardboard pictures of men.

Well,I live almost as far east as you can go in Canada
and everything I've been shipping in Canada,U.S. and
overseas is moving lightning fast. Are you sure your stuff
is being shipped when they say it is?

I'm still waiting on an eBay order from Montreal that was shipped with tracking back on Jan 9th. Not to mention a couple of Group Break orders that are bordering on 2 weeks now from Ontario.

I am experiencing a lot of my buyers, across Canada messaging me telling me their cards haven't arrived yet. Stuff that was mailed before Christmas. A lot of them are cards under $10 so I doubt they are pulling a scam on those. I am getting more and more frustrated with Canada Post, but there are no alternatives for low cast shipping

I had a couple pachages from the maritimes take about 4 weeks recently, mailed Jan 4th arrived late last week

I noticed that delays went up about a year ago, right after they closed the Ottawa sorting plant. All mail sorting for Eastern Ontario is now done at the large plant on the other side of Montreal. I suspect the bottle neck is a result of insufficient staff and infrastructure to deal with the extra amount of mail.

Like I said in the OP, I have the utmost confidence in the integrity of everybody I'm dealing with.

Yup, I currently have a case opened on eBay for an item not received (I’m the seller). Shipped on January 10th from Montreal to BC. No news from the card...

I'm in Quebec, and I waited 2 full weeks for some packages from western Canada and USA. My trading buddies waited that long to get their packages too.

I sent a card to Sweden a few weeks ago, in the regular mail, and it got there in about 5 days.

Thanks for all the replies, fellas. It's "nice" to know that I'm not the only one, but it's also frustrating to know that it's happening to a lot of people. Usually the mailbox is like a mini-Christmas every day but all I've received this week are some damn bills and lame flyers!

I have two buyers from B.C. waiting since Jan. 6 and Jan. 22 for their bubble envelopes to arrive from here in New Brunswick. My feedback rating on eBay is 100 per cent (more than 7,000) but I won't have a choice but to issue a full refund if those packages don't show up soon.
The Jan. 6 buyer has already been overly patient, I'd say, but is giving me the benefit of the doubt for a few more days.
Frustrating as a seller when bubble envelopes I mail to California or the Czech Republic arrive in roughly a week because they go by airmail rather than get caught up in the surface mail snail pace.

I have 2 trade from QC to BC and they have never received
The first is December 27 and the 2nd January 11
I received their cards in 5-7 days

I just received one of my delayed packages, and fortunately it was the most important one of the bunch, a nice Shea Weber SPGU Frameworks. But the two smaller deals are still in limbo. Frustrating times for everybody!
