I don't know how HI members feel about sniping software for eBay but for those of you who do use them, any recommendations?

I use Gixen. And I signed up not to get any kind of advantage, but because I got tired of being out and losing out on cards because I forgot to get on my phone and place a bid! It used to be completely free. Now you only get something like 10 snipes a year on the free account, but a membership is like $1 or $2, and well worth it.

Totally valid way of getting an edge in an auction. It's no different then you logging on manually and entering a bid in the last few seconds. And whether you do it or software does it it still comes down to the highest bid in the end so you still have to be willing to pay the price.

I use auction sniper sometimes. You can easily link your ebay account to auction sniper. If you are interested in trying it out, send me your email address and I will send you an invite with some free trials.

I use justsnipe, 5 free snipes a week and with how little I buy... that’s all I need

In the final hour I bid my maximum. If it goes higher that’s fine, otherwise you’ll probably end up overpaying.

I just find that the more time you give the other guys to react the more likely it is they will talk themselves into bidding more and more. Sniping in the last seconds takes away that ability to react or let the FOMO kick in. An hour gives plenty of time for someone to think ''you know, maybe I can go that extra ten or twenty bucks higher after all''. I think you're far more likely to win with your max on a snipe than by giving other bidders an hours notice.

Exactly. Plus, people can't shill a bid that doesn't exist yet.

Hey Joe

I use Myibidder if I know an auction will go and I won't be able to bid on it live, however they recently starting charging for bids within the last month or so. I think I may try this justsnipe app - 5 free per week is more than enough for me.
