So... why do auction style when you want a specific amount?

Okay, off the bat, I am NOT saying to avoid this seller. I am NOT saying he's a moron. I am NOT saying you should block him. I'm just letting you guys know about this. It is the third or fourth time over the years this has happened to me with this seller, so you can draw your own conclusion.

On August 13 at around 7 pm Pacific, I lost this auction to a 'private bidder.'

Guess what's was listed at around 6 pm Pacific on August 15?

Ticks me off enough that I actually bid on a card that pictures this Russian POS, and then to have it end in this situation...

Wow what a small world that guy just wrote me on ebay twice trying to buy a few of my Bure cards for cheap. Those auctions you posted definitely look alittle sketchy.


People list auction style when ythey want a specific amount because it's cheaper. When I list an auction at BIN or best offer or fixed, it's .30, which adds up when you list a lot of cards. The auction style ones are free for 100-150 auctions a month or something like that .

I can't speak for this auction or this seller - doesn't look like anything I would want to touch with those red flags...however...

You are likely going to see a ton of "auctions" from sellers here that have just been listed or will be in the next couple of days. My gut is that you will see a lot with relatively high starting prices and BINs as the big promotion of the week for volume sellers is 10k free auctions with free BINs (or at least that is what offer I received this month).
