Hmm, interesting. [I think I called it tho (as did many others)]

I stand by my prediction of 2 years only because Marvel likes big numbers and at 2 issues/month for 2 years - that'll let them do ASM 750 but if they want to count Avenging Spider-Man in the "re-numbering", it could be sooner.

Kev - I think "Marvel Now!" or not (it's not a reboot! ) Marvel would LOVE to be the first company to hit 1K for a title.

Read it.

Was fairly boring and all over the place for the most part until the end. The end made it interesting.

I like the direction this is now going.

I agree that both DC and Marvel would love to be the first to hit 1K but if DC is all in on New 52, it's not much of a race. I do expect Marvel to go back to ASM [BIG Number] at some opportunity and 2 years makes sense numerically and ties in with the sequel coming out in May 2014.

However, even with 2 issues a month, Marvel is still 12ish years away from hitting 1K and Action WAS at 904 when it ended, so they are only 8 years away if they ever decide to restart the old52 and continue on monthly, so I figure DC still does have the advantage.

BUT with the sales numbers on both of them currently, and what the sales trends look like, I have big doubts if they will be hitting it in a 4 colour, floppy version that we are familiar with - and that is unfortunate.
