all I am saying if he is soooo picky about everything, find a graded card. I mean my point is why should I have to grade it for him then ship it to him and he is not happy for some reason. This is not a 100.00 card we are talking about. Some of you have good points but what if I get lowballed too. It is not worth my time is what I saying :D

For the record i always say my cards are nrmint to mint or better. If the card is or was damaged I wouldn't sell it.

Maybe he`s buying raws for a submissions...

I tend to ask the same questions before placing bids on a card, prevents me from beeing unhappy whit the condition of the card and purchase if im buying to grade.

Anybody can do a rough examination, dont need to ba a card grader to se a rough corners or surface scratch.

If the seller is evasive on response, i dont bid.

I received the same questions on some centennials auto, the guy wanted cards in great conditons, i sold him the ones i felt where meeting his standards, he came back for more didnt care to pay more.

Maybe link us to the auction so we can read the description you have on it. It sounds like maybe it's lacking a little bit when it comes to information about the condition of the card. As for people saying the questions are a problem, why? It's his money and he's looking to spend it and wants to make sure he gets what he wants.

I don't think he is being unreasonable -

Ask yourself this - would you rather get these questions up front for you to address, it won't take you too much time to pull the card and give it a once over - or would you rather sell the card to him for $20 and end up with a chargeback because there is a small blemish somewhere that could have been stated up front.

Its funny to me that people want to buy/sell on the internet but never want to deal with any of the questions or issues that come along with that. Every buyer wants the safety of buying a cheap product that is in impeccible condition and every seller wants the highest price for no work and average cards.

Obviously these are overstatements but in the end - ITS EBAY! If you want to deal on ebay there are inherent headaches that come with it - such is life.

I am going to move on. I stated in my auction that the card is nrmint to mint or better. If that is not good enough I don't know what is. :D

Do you stand behind your cards or not ?

If a person cannot try and take a risk sometimes , and move on...

This tells me you dont.

sure why not, I have no problems. If someone is not happy I will refund their money back. You gotta remember here everyone is taking a risk. :D

The problem I have with that is you've come out and admitted that like most of us, you are not a grader. Those two terms are specifically tied to the system used to grade cards. You can't say you're not proficient enough to grade the card and then describe it's condition in grading terms and expect that to be enough, it's too vague.

If the card has a soft corner, tell him that. If there are no scratches on the card, say that. Like has been said earlier, nrmnt-mint or whatever are used much too often on eBay and don't really say anything about the cards condition. If you don't want to answer his questions that's up to you, but I would then think in that situation it would be more likely that the seller is trying to mask something wrong with the card than the buyer trying to scam the seller.

Hey did it ever occur to you that he or she is looking for a perfect 10? I don't think I have a perfect 10. Perfect 10's are very hard to find. In my book that is how I viewed it. If that is the case with potential buyer maybe he or she should find a graded copy. Everyone views their cards differently. Thats why they have grading services. This card was pulled from a pack and put in card holder right from beginning. Sometimes cards come out damaged from the factory.

With that being said, I realized that is is a very touchy subject around here.
I also want to say there are some really great points and some I don't agree with. We all have our own opinions and I will leave it at that.

For the record I am going to lets this potential buyer know that it is not a BGS 10 material.

and this one has chugged far enough down the track, IMHO...

Due to the fact that there's a unguarded level crossing upcoming, BTW! ;)
