I have been slowly trying to get back into collecting with a focus on what I like and can afford as opposed to just trying to get everything for my PCs like I used to.
I especially like to pick up some of the older issues that have eluded me over the years. There is a sense of satisfaction marking a 90s insert or parallel off the ole checklist.
Landing some of the newer issues is also satisfying. This post has a little old and a little new mixed together
Goalie RCs:
Trying to keep up to date on new goalies and I actually pulled this out of a rare pack purchase. That just leaves me with Reto Berra needed as far as new goalie RCs go.

Meloche:
This is a fairly significant pickup
This is the last pre 2000s issue of Meloche that I needed and I think the only one that I have seen other than a complete set a while ago
1972 Sargent Stamp
I only need the 2006 Parkhurst dual auto with Beaupre, 2011 BTP 70s quad GU and 2012 BTP Patch/Auto to complete my Meloche PC (until the new BTP comes out in a couple weeks)
Liut:
Found an ebay seller that has a lot of older issues and picked this one up with a few others (to be seen below)
I don’t need many Liuts and the Capitals Kodak issues just don’t seem to pop up.
1990 Capitals Kodak
I still need the 1989 and 1991 versions plus a couple Junior Whaler issues as far as older Liuts go. Newer releases I still need: 2011 ITG Canada vs The World Auto and ITG Ultimate History (STL and CAR /9)
I was excited to see the checklist for Stickwork and my PC guys featured
So far I have landed this one in a deal with HI member Orvy

I would still like to land a dual with Francis but my budget isn’t what it used to be so we’ll see. Plus the regular stick /14 I should be able to add but they seem to be drying up now that it has been out for awhile.
Burke:
I always love to add older Burkes to the PC and especially Whaler issues. I managed to pick up a few

The above four came from the same ebayer as the Liut. The 94 card is one of the oldest Burkes I had on my wantlist. The Canes issue feature a nice shot of Burke’s pads which are now in my possession (pictured in a bit better shape than they are now!)
2013 Decades Gold /30 / Decades Auto
Picked up the gold and I still need the base. Adding a hard signed auto pictured as a Whaler? Always good!
2013 Stickwork /14
This was a surprise addition as it came from local collector / HI member linkager007 for future considerations. I owe you Mike - thanks a lot - haven’t seen you yet to thank you in person!
I would like to get the paddle version as well at some point

Always looking to pick up cheap inserts/parallels that I still need from the 90s as mentioned earlier. These came in the ebay deal with the Liut and Burkes

1998 Topps Gold Label Class 3 / 1999 Prism Holo Mirror /160
1997 Pacific issues are some of my favourites. I enjoy(ed) completing the rainbows for reg Pacific, Invincible, Dynagon and Omega.

Like the Burke I have the Gold but still no base, go figure
2013 Trilogy Crystal
I always like clear/acetate cards and was surprised to see how thick this card was when it arrived. A nice Rookie year Whaler shot on it makes it a cool card for me
Finally this pickup is the biggest "HIT" of the past month or so
2013 ITG Stickwork /19
Quite a few popped up and I started tracking them. This was one of the nicer pieces and fairly affordable in the end. Was surprised to get it for what I did with the number of other bidders involved.
I really want to add the triple Howe/Francis/Burke but they haven't been going for a price I am comfortable with yet. I'll have to be patient. Not one of my strong suits but I am getting better!
Anyway that is it for now. Nothing huge but decent additions to the PCs. Looking forward to BTP as always but just got hit with some car repairs that may hamper my acquisitions in the near future Oh well!
