I hated the Avs back in high school, but back in the day you'd never hear me saying a bad word about Joe Sakic. I only slightly dislike them now so no hard feelings toward them anymore.

Within the last decade - Jarome Iginla with the Flames comes to mind. No good words for the Flames, but I could never say a bad thing against Iginla ever. The guy just goes out there and gives it 100% while always doing and saying the right things. Never backs down from a challenge, never fails to give credit where credit is due, etc.

Not in any way at all trying to start a pissing match here, but what do you mean by this statement?

When I think of players who are 'tough (brave)' because of the backup they have for teammates, Bergeron is one of the last people I'd put in that category.

Like I said, not trying to start a pissing match; we all have opinions, I'm just curious.

Like I said I think he's a great player I would take him on my team anyday, I just wonder what he would do with a smaller team like the Habs were the last couple years. I do respect his game. That's why I mentionned him first in this thread players you like from a team you hate.:beer:

Hate the bLOSE, but absolutely have a ton of respect towards Tarasenko, at least on the hockey aspect of it, and not the hobby aspect. However, Tarasenko is a scoring machine, and he can be a beast in 3-4 years give or take.

You know, I'm trying my darnedest to think of a player on the Penguins that I don't hate, but no one is coming to mind. I think the best that I can do is feel sorry for MA Fleury, having to play behind that defense.

I have a ton of respect for Tavares on the Islanders. He's really come up the last few years to be a force to be reckoned with, and I never hear anything saying a bad thing about him.

Brodeur on the Devils also comes to mind. I don't want to see him in a Caps uniform, but he definitely deserves respect for putting up the numbers he has through a brilliant career.
