Came across this auction in my regular search of Sam Steel items on Ebay:

Only one problem, Sam Steel did not play for Anaheim in 2015-16, in fact he hadn't even been drafted by Anaheim yet. The jersey is clearly a 2015-16 set 2 jersey for Anaheim. I've inquired with the seller how this is possible with no response. What's more concerning is the seller claims this came directly from the Ducks and he has an LOA from Lelands confirming its authenticity. Be cautious with this and any other items the seller has given his claims.

The tag on the jersey is clearly 2015-16 so no this is not getting the year confused.

He's been offloading a lot of ducks game worn jerseys for the team over the past couple months. My guess is that it was a tagged #49 jersey prepared for a call up during the second half of the season and went unused and was recycled for the 2016 summer prospect camp.

I've dealt with this seller before.

My only concern here is the size

Steel did play in a game against the Kings in the pre season wearing #49 against the Kings. There is a good chance it is worn by him in the pre season and would explain the very minor wear to it.
