SP Authentic 30 Pack Break ... Here's JOHNNY

Got these a bit early at the local store and decided to give them a break - 30 packs later and I'll quit while I'm ahead!

A quick word about the cards - not a bad showing from UD this time round, the base cards are clean and crisp with no issues that have plagued previous releases. The limited base autos are going to look stunning.

If I was to nitpick - While team names were designed to be on the base cards (including the FWs), it seems that UD has decided to go with Colorado instead of Avalanche. God knows why

The inserts are a ho hum affair, but the Series 2 updates are a nice touch. The bonus YGs in each box are also fun.

My break yielded these puppies:

All the Update cards are earmarked for Art (Hama) for the time being.

Too bad it's a crummy redemption. Still didn't stop my hands from shaking a bit when I flipped over the card and saw what it was!

Absolutely no complaints for me - the plan was to hit a Horvat, but I don't suppose they'll be too hard to find with the two big cards here.

All the cards are available, though I will probably defer to eBay unless there is strong interest here. Cards are also available for trade, just looking for Canucks from this set.

They do this quite often. Sometimes they go with Tampa Bay and New Jersey too instead of Lightning and Devils. I think it might be because the nicknames are perceived as being negative or a bad thing? Better to snuggle up to a cute baby Duck than be caught up in an Avalanche!
