SPA beckett prices ???

Today I checked on beckett to see if they priced 10-11 SP Authentic.

They did and can't believe what I saw!!

Eberle FWA /999 50$
Pajaarvi FWA /999 50$
Hall FWA /999 80$
Subban - Seguin - Skinner 60$

Really ?? Pajaarvi is the same price as Eberle ?? Want to see something funnier ?

SOTT SP Sidney Crosby 50$
SOTT Bobby Orr 30$
SOTT SP Wayne Gretzky 60$

So, if anyone has these SOTT, i'll gladly BUY THEM AT FULL BV! Pm me if you have one of them loll !

That's ridiculous ! I really hope they will correct the bv's and all.

Just complain a bunch to beckett. After enough complaints they will change their pricing like they have done before. If only enough people would complain about 91-92 proset being under priced, id be a millionaire.

That just proves that what I've been saying ever since they sold out that this magazine is completely worthless... No one should even use the darn thing any more, it's completely useless as they don't even know what's going in with the hobby, they don't even adjust prices in a timely manner (most Stamkos cards are STILL booking lower than they sell).

I was kidding around but often times eBay sales are typically about half of HI BV. So if something sells for $50 on eBay it's generally around $100 or so BV give or take a bit.

Ebay prices are not "THE" prices. May be the low column but definitely not the set in stone price. These were selling for much higher at the expo than ebay's "rate" and I'm sure at most shops as well.

Uh sure it is. Ebay is about as close to an open market situation for cards. While it isn't perfect it is a better reflection of overall prices then a card show or Brick and Mortar.

Beckett pricing has been worthless for a while now. And for those of us enthralled by Teh Shinies, we can tell you with confidence that Beckett pricing reflects market values about as well as grass reflects the sky.

I remember the same things happen last year with UD1. The first pricing of Tavares Yg was something like Bv$50 and ebay sales was near 100$ !!

Take a look again in one or two days they will be more acurate !

some people actually still use beckett apparently(i know, surprised me too!), the superstar on another site told me my offer was crappy because the 5 net brawlers "bv" was 60 and my 4 numbered inserts(including a sid...i thought those booked for like 100 each anyways? ha) were only 31. i wonder where 60 comes from when they are 99 cent inserts in actual sales haha. gotta love seeing how far off they are and watching people still using it like a bible.

I haven't been to a card show where most cards over 25 copies were priced out by Beckett and not the up and down sales of ebay. And those card shows are in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Ontario, Michigan, Virginia, and New York. All hockey dealers I dealt with using the Beckett as the go by. Under 25 copies and the current "hot" cards go by ebay.

Beckett online is always messed up at first and then they are good within a couple of days. I am sure by Monday all will be Zen and all of the "I don't use Beckett" peeps will be checking current Beckett online prices.

When will there be another published pricing magazine to be produced for Canada and United States to give Beckett some legit competition?? And thats available at card shops and retail outlets??
