In box breaks, SPx usually treats me better, but I absolutely can't stand the ambiguous "photo shoot" worn gear and stick autos on the cards. As a consumer, my vote goes for SPA. Now, if we can only get the box gods to do something about the crap I usually get in SPA boxes... :)

I agree. SPX usually does me better, lol but I hate sticker autos and the jerseys from a photo shoot is absolutely ridiculous.

SPA, but only because they usually have cleaner, whiter designs than SPx. The difference between the auto vs. auto/jersey doesn't really make a difference to me, but SPx is usually heavy on the foil treatment, and that doesn't really appeal to me.

Do you prefer the hardsigned auto RCs from SPA, or the photoshooted jersey sticker auto RCs from SPX?

I think you question is a little weighted... by the words used, it is clear to me which way you are leaning.

I might hazard a guess that if the question was more neutral, the response would be slightly different.

There are also a lot of factors that differentiate the 2 products other than:
  • hard signed/ sticker autos
  • photo shoot jerseys

The fact that the SPx auto jerseys are horizontal cards, IMHO - hurts a lot.
It seems that the majority of card collectors are not big fans of horizontal cards... personally I prefer them.

In regards to the SPx auto jersey RCs, stickers are a new phenomenon.
Prior to 05-06, the graphs were cut sigs... personally I am/was a big fan of the cut sig RCs

anyways, perhaps I am analyzing too much.
I voted SPx.

I have to agree with what many people said in this topic.

SPx was way nicer with label autos instead of stickers.

Now, that many people answered, I have to say that my vote goes to SPA.

Clean design, hard-signed.

SPA all the way...

Not Super-Flashy, but nice, simple and they seem to stand the test of time...

To me, Upper Deck and SPA Rookies are the ONLY true Rookies (I know there are a ridiculous amount of Rookies but these have always been my favorite)...Just my opinion tho..

Having just autos on the card, just make them seem plain imho. The debate about sticker/label autos will go on forever, but at least SPX has that extra touch. Plus what about the design minus the autos and jerseys? That also has to side with SPX if you ask me.

I see from the survey that SPA RCs are prefered over SPX RCs by people from the boards.

That brings me to ask another question: why are the SPx RCs booking higher than the SPA RCs?

They look like a more high-end product, since they have a jersey and an auto. Auto rcs are more plain to some collectors such as myself and that reflects why they are worth more
