Wow - I went to chech out Meigray's stock.... and it seems to be mostly no-namers.

Is this usual for this time of year? I am relatively new to the Game Used ... game... so forgive me if this is a "DUH" moment.

Probably a few factors. They could be in between sets with certain teams while they wait for the next one, maybe they had some sort of sale recently that depleted some of the inventory, or maybe the fact there is now THREE card companies fighting over gamers of the good players isn't leaving much for the collectors.

Valid points indeed Monsieur Inferno. But just so long as the gamer crowd do get a shot - that's the main thing. Prices going north though :badmood: !

actually I notice 1 price went down on an item I am watching... but rest went up.....

The other thing to remember is they don't have as many teams using them as they used to so that factors in to the amount of jerseys available.

1: Far less teams with Meigray then before - Teams have seen that collectors will pay some good cash for jerseys. Why give Meigray that money when you could keep it for yourself? The Leafs, Habs, Ducks, Rangers, etc. found this out years ago.

2: Popular players go quickly. Those that don't go during the pre-sales will go the very second a discount sale takes place. A lot of big jersey collectors won't risk waiting for a sale on popular players.

3: There was recently a Christmas sale. Lots of shirts go during these.

I dunno man... home and away for each set.... for or five sets... plus promo jerseys... I can't see Upper Deck / Pannini / ITG using more than one jersey each per player...

Popular players go faster than the scrubs - just a fact of all things hockey collectible. Many of them get pre-ordered right away, or are the very first players to go during a sale.
