Splendor Lord Stanley 1/1 cut auto pulled.

The pull is at ~11:30 if you don't feel like watching the whole thing.

Not sure why, but I thought this was going to be a more interesting product than it was - especially since they reduced the rookie content they usually saturate with. The cards all look the same, virtually no character to the product. They might as well have been the Exquisite cards they dumped in other products.

Prices are mental for 95% of the cards on eBay currently. Will be interesting to see what most of the cards end up going for eventually.

Great looking product though!

The extra card for the boxes with a redemption was a nice touch.

Oh yeah, Splendor is going to be brutal if you’re buying individual boxes. Low numbering doesn’t mean anything if the designs are bad and the card is featuring a borderline HHOF player that already signs hundreds of cards for UD.

Someone in a Facebook group posted their hits from two boxes which is already $425 US, a Gretzky auto and an average player from the 70s. Splendor reminds me more of a Leaf product than a high end UD release. Or one of those packs you buy from shops or breakers for $200-$300 that are just repackaged cards.

I’ll defintiely be staying away.

The fact that there's redemptions is disappointing too. I agree on the designs looking the same. Some of the stuff is really nice, some really great GU pieces, but lot of it isn't very impressive in my opinion.

I might be biased (of course I am biased!) I think Leaf puts more value in their releases at this price point.

My take exactly. Only a couple of cards have actually sold - most are so far out of whack price wise that they'll just sit there. Its a shame the cost per card is so high causing sellers to post prices like this.

Not at the same level per-say, but this reminds me of what happened when 2015 Team Canada Master Collection was first released. Those went for about 2,000+ per box. Nuts.

My LCS said this stuff would be around $125 (I'm learning he was spitballing), but at $250CDN a pack? No f***ing way. UD took the value of this stuff away much like they did with The Cup. I like the design of some of the cards, but the house has HEAVILY stacked the favour in their odds. Good luck to everyone breaking this stuff.

From the couple cases I've seen. Anything but 1 or 2 of the case hits in each case of 12 is a money loser. I'm not risking $250 for a 1/6 chance of getting something of value.
