Splendor Lord Stanley 1/1 cut auto pulled.

After watching a few Splendor breaks Id rather crack a Cup tin and "miss" on 5 cards than take a kick in the cup on this overrated junk....But dear Lord CnC just talked this junk up all night cue the MUTE BUTTON....

How is it not good value to spend $300 and get back a $40-60 card? Better return than most hockey products these days.

Yeah, at least with the Cup you have a chance at $1000+ RC’s. Aside from a few cuts and the auto stick handle cards, there’s no upside here.

As an aside, I wonder if putting cards in one touches with tamper evident stickers is a potential way to stop re-patching.

I split a case with 2 other guys (4 boxes) each @ $180 a pop. We had a blast. The cards are great looking. Overall the case was decent - One guy got a Mario Canada Auto, Jagr Patch, Thornton patch auto & a Nico patch. The other guy got a Brett Hull stick auto, Housley Auto, Kurri stick auto & a Guy Lafleur patch auto. I got a Bobby Hull Stick auto, Patrick Roy patch auto, Clayton Keller base with a Toews patch auto & a 1/1 CUT AUTO OF COONEY WEILAND. We all agreed to open more. We might split another case...

They look like fancy Leaf cards but instead of cartoon jersey pics you actually get the real photo. The GU stuff seems pretty nice but its the same stuff over and over. /36, /27, /20's whatever all the way down to 1/1s and with different colors. I saw the Fuhr 1/1 already and it looks amazing! but I bet the rest of the cool patch is in one of the higher up serial numbered cards.

Wish they would go back to the old days where you wouldn't have X amount of hits per case/box/pack, but everyone's a winner now days....remember that!

The last two Gretzky autos have sold for $323 and $300, that makes me wonder how the lower-tier players are going to hold in terms of value. Too early to judge, but I'd like to see how prices look in a month.

It is a hit. Right to the face. My big issue is not the checklist though but the centering and damaged cards. Got a damaged Keller so I was like OK it's only Keller but still. Keep going and noticed some cards were off center which by 2018 and at $200+ per card it's getting a bit out of control. I can honestly say this hobby is like my family, I love it and hate it.

Considering that Gretzky hard signed autos usually sell $175-$200 that means an approx. 30-50% premium on his autos from this product compared to his auto from many other hard signed sets. That would mean Gilmour etc for around 30-40 bucks max all things being equal, maybe less

Opening and selling Cup for the first time last year learned me pretty quick that low serial'd patch autos of current non-rookie players not named McDavid or Crosby have very little value.

I have enjoyed watching the breaks on Youtube as the cards are very nice looking. But with a smaller checklist it is the same cards over and over again in every case break.

The Jagr /10 patches that have surfaced so far look eerily similar, certainly the second-fourth: (pics from eBay)

The jagrs look to be the inside area of the sleeve numbers? There would be two 8s counting towards 4 of these patches, plus two 6s.

You're probably right. The bottom of the 6 looks like the 8, so those 4 could technically have come from one set of "68" patches, I suppose. Here's a gamer from that era:
