Sports Cards Live: Show Calendar - Updated June 21

Very good episode. Not completely the direction I expected it to go with all of the investment conversation but it was extremely entertaining. Thanks again for filling the void.

Another great episode. The thing I really like about your show is that it puts a face to the Twitter/HI/Blowout username. My experience with Gray's internet presence thus far is thinking he was a incredible piece of work but after watching this it totally changed my opinion. Seems like a good guy. Sometimes the translation is lost through text base communication.

This is how I went in; I was rubbing my hands looking forward to all of the drama, and instead saw and heard a passionate perspective. The questions could have got much, much juicier, but that's for another show!!

In person is infinitely preferred over text. You can never read the tone, sarcasm, wit, etc. that comes with an adrenaline fueled paragraph. Unless you're Stephen King maybe, lol.

I thought that was a great show. I missed the first half, but I went back and watched it after based on the positive impression I got from the last piece.

Great string of shows Jeremy, keep it up!!

I'll admit that going in I thought there might have been a more defensive posture from Brian Gray re: Leaf's position in the hockey market and their ability to produce hockey cards with their limited licensing. Instead I saw someone who demonstrated his passion for the hobby and a real "can do" attitude. I loved his answer re: using player images mixed with jerseys/icons on cards, showed lots of flexibility and a willingness to listen to collectors. While the multitude of various coloured parallels with the same card appearance drives me crazy at times, I do appreciate the variety of sets that Leaf provides (eg. Franchise Tag Teams) and the ability to find such awesome vintage cards among their products.

Great show once again Jeremy, I really appreciate the ability to see "deep" inside the hockey industry with the guests you are providing.

It really is amazing what putting a face and attitude to a person can do to affect our perceptions of people. Thanks for watching!

Never had a problem with Brian Gray before seeing him in person or not, but thats me. I also totally agree that things and people get misunderstood big time through simple text replies, whatever platform that may be. Seeing and hearing a person real time usually changes perspective a lot. Especially if you meet Steve Angel for the first time at an expo and see his shirts......

Haha with Angel the shirts only affirm your original perception LOL.

Thanks for being a loyal watcher Scott! Appreciate the comment!

Thanks Shaun, this was an easy show to do, he was a great guest.

I really enjoyed the Brian Gray episode. I just watched it this morning and still have to catch up on some of the previous episodes. I really enjoyed his perspectives and passion for the hobby and investment mindset as well. Great job as host Jeremy and thanks for bringing these guests to us.

Just finished up the episode as the UFC didn't cancel their show for sports cards live (the nerve of some people), fantastic show, his passion for the hobby really come through in the interview and I appreciate the insight he was able to share into the business side of things. Keep up the great work with the interviews and the guests you have lined up so fantastic.

100% this. Like many, I've never met Brian so my only previous insight into him was from the occasional interaction he's had in HI threads. Granted, we as a community haven't always exactly provided a safe haven for him here when it comes to discussing Leaf products, so understandably his tone has seemed defensive and combative at times. I had no idea what the guy behind the posts was like and whether he'd bring that kind of fire to the episode. Jeremy's a cool cat and easy-going guy, he values their friendship and hobby relationship and I knew he wouldn't push the envelope, but what if viewers started submitting controversial questions or digs at Leaf products? How would he respond? Turns out I shouldn't have even worried. Viewers were respectful and Brian both presented himself and represented his company extremely well. His passion was evident and it was neat to learn about his experiences in all facets of the hobby. I'm not a brand loyalist, but the fact is that Leaf comprises the largest part of my pickups since their move into the hobby, simply because they're the company producing the most premium cards of the player I collect. It's nice to know they come from a place of love.

Wasn't able to make it on for Brian's show, but just finished watching it. Great stuff. I've had the pleasure of meeting Brian at the Expo's and even going out for a meal or two with him. Truly a knowledgeable guy and an asset to this hobby.

Just watched the episode with Brian Gray, great job! These videos definitely help pass the time during quarantine so I'm looking forward to the next few...

Just want to say, these have been really good! The live times don't work for me - but I've been watching them after the fact. I did the first two, and then jumped to the one with Brian Gray. Excellent work. I'm looking forward to catching up on them, and also hearing what that Barrie guy has to say :)

Great way to spend an evening to entertain / inform ourselves about the personalities involved in the hobby. For me, it's an early morning rerun of prior shows.

I have some catching up to do, but what I’ve seen so far has been great! I think Dr. Price might need a part 2...very interesting to listen to and I’m sure there are many more stories to be told.

The Dr. Price episode and the investment/estate planning episodes have been my favourites so far.

Keep up the fantastic work Jeremy!

Looking forward to the next episode. I’ve been a long time Pawn Stars watcher so I am very familiar with Steve in that way. I’ve always thought his manner was great and he seemed very knowledgeable. Interested to know why he made the jump from PSA BAS and anything else he might be willing or able to provide with the behind the scenes of his work.
