Stajan gets goal without touching the puck

Anybody see that goofy goal by "Stajan". He lost the draw, and the Calgary player swept the puck from the faceoff circle right into his own net. Wonder where in the rulebook, that credits the guy taking the faceoff with a goal on that one. Way to pad the stats Stajan. Should he lose more draws in future? :)
 
I'd think the goal would have gone to the last player to touch the puck on the preceding play. Although the official dropping the puck may have seen whether his stick did glance the puck on the faceoff.

I think in the case where no player touched the puck, the player closest to the play is credited with the goal.
 
Yeah I am sure there is a rule. What if someone scored on their own net from the first faceoff? It'd have to be the faceoff taker.
 
All the really matter is the Flames wiped the floor with "Canada's"
