I just received this email from Stamps.com:

I just called the number and they are activating this service to my account. It takes 24-48 hours to become activated.

That is a very compelling price difference. What's the typical monthly stamps.com charge for their service?

I have the Pro Plan which is $16 a month. If you sell a lot on eBay you can download the orders and they will automatically upload the tracking. It is not as cheap as ebay shipping domestically if you are getting a powerseller discount. I use it for my job anyway so it's a worthwhile investment for me.

So let me get this right....this basically allows you to ship merchandise (i.e hockey cards) at the large envelope rate? Does it actually need to be in an envelope or would a bubble mailer work (or putting a bubble mailer into a large envelope)? As noted, there is a significant price difference vs a normal Ebay user.

I'm curious about this, too. It would convince me to join stamps.com if I can send in a bubble mailer.
